Fashion’s major players all congregated in NYC on Sunday night for none other than the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, casually referred to as the Met Gala. Each year, outrageous fashion, jaw dropping jewels and themed ensembles line the carpet, all in a grandiose effort to raise funds for the museum’s upcoming fashion exhibit.
But this year, Beyoncé was an exhibit in and of herself. Arriving more than an hour late and well after most press had left the carpet, the reigning queen had all eyes on her. Her sheer, bejeweled Givenchy gown left little to the imagination, and not a thing to be desired.
For the bauble-obsessed (that’s us!), the queen herself made a serious case for letting sparkle do that talking. That, and her insane curves and famous derrière of course.
Between the (fashionably) late arrival, scandalous attire, and seductive Instagram and carpet poses, it’s safe to say Beyoncé stole the show.
