Well it’s that time of the year again where the best in film and television gather for an evening of dinner, drinks and the hopes of taking home a Golden Globe. Besides the comedy wits of hostesses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and the awkward musical cue when an acceptance speech has gone on far too long – we admire the grace and style of some of the biggest names in the film industry.
Here are our top 5 looks from the 71st Golden Globes Awards:
5. Jennifer Lawrence
What can we say about Jennifer Lawrence that hasn’t already been said? This girl always looks great and it certainly was no surprise that she won “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in American Hustle. J Law rocked the award show with emerald and diamond jewellery from Neil Lane.
4. Helen Mirren
Helen Mirren seems to age like fine wine. This multi-winning actress may not have taken home a Globe last night, but certainly took our breath away with this red carpet look. She donned colourful emerald diamonds by Bulgari and earrings that once belonged to actress Gina Lollobrigida.
3. Naomi Watts
Although Watts wasn’t a nominee this year, she rocked the red carpet in a stunning liquid metal dress and proved to be more than just arm candy for her husband Liev Schreiber. We couldn’t get enough of her chunky chain-link necklace and matching gold cuff by Bulgari.
2. Sofia Vergara
Our favourite sexy Colombian on screen “Modern” mom looked stunning as she hit the red carpet Sunday night. Her necklace mixed of blue hues and diamond flowers by red carpet favourite Lorraine Schwartz made her a show stopper.
1. Jessica Chastain
The “Zero Dark Thirty” star is our #1 look of the 2014 Golden Globes. We loved her classic look of a simple black dress with platinum diamond necklace and a matching diamond ring dating back to 1930 by Bulgari.
