With Haute Couture Week just behind us, we’re still picking our jaws up off the floor. But this year, it was the jewellery, amongst the fashion that truly took our breath away. Attendees and designers alike spoke of the collections’ talisman, which is defined as something that elicits a “remarkable or powerful influence on human actions and feelings.”
So which collections sparked that response from us? Read on!
1) Bulgari – the iconic jewellery label didn’t disappoint in the latest collection. In our opinion, the standout piece was a pair of emerald earrings, cut down from 400 carats.
2) Chanel – known for its buttoned-up, ladylike aesthetic (Coco Chanel, anyone?) – our favourite piece is an uncharacteristic, hammered gold and diamond cuff.
3) De Beers – In March, WWD reported that De Beers would be joining the Haute Couture official schedule. The notable jeweler brought ornate artistry and blinding sparkle to its highly anticipated Parisian presentation.
